What is Babylon Toolbar?
Babylon Toolbar is a browser extension which seems legitimate. Its official website Babylon.com features various tools such as Babylon Mac, Language Learning, Babylon electronic Dictionary, Babylon 9 and many others which are claimed to be helpful tools while browsing online. Babylon Toolbar is available in a great range of languages and it is said to be used by “millions of private users and organizations in more than 200 countries and territories”. I did not install Babylon Toolbar!
Normally, when a Babylon Toolbar is installed, you can access the Control Panel and uninstall it with its removal utility. The removal of Babylon Toolbar
You can always try uninstalling the Babylon application. Open the Start menu – > Control Panel – > Add or Remove Programs/Uninstall a program. Select the application and click on Remove/Uninstall.

- Open the browser and click on the gear icon (Windows XP users have to open the Tool menu).
- Select Internet Options – > the Advanced tab – > Reset.
- Click on the Reset button in the Reset Internet Explorer settings window.
- Select Close and then OK.
- Open the browser and click on Help (Windows XP). Windows 7 users: click on the Firefox button and select Help.
- Click on Troubleshooting Information – > Reset Firefox.
- Confirm your option in a pop-up window.
- Open the browser and click on the menu button which is on the right-hand side of the browser (three vertical lines).
- Select Tools – > Extensions.
- Select the toolbar and remove it.
To change the default search engine on Google Chrome:
Click on the Chrome menu button – > Settings – > Manage search engine (in the Search section). Click on the Babylon Toolbar Search and remove it from the list and then select Google to make it your default search engine.
