What is Ads by CloudGuard?
If you see Ads by CloudGuard in your browsers, it means that your computer has been infected with an adware application called CloudGuard. The program travels bundled with freeware and shareware, so it is rather possible that you did not notice how it entered your computer system. The application has its own official website, however, you can not download the program from there.
On this website the software is described as a useful tool that can be used in order to block unsafe or offensive web content. Unfortunately, the program does not deliver on its promises. What it does deliver, however, is lots of ads and pop-ups. If you want to get rid of Ads by CloudGuard, you should delete CloudGuard from your computer.
How does CloudGuard work?
Despite its description on the official webpage of the program, CloudGuard is not a reliable application. Although it promises “innovative protection layer” that will block inappropriate and dangerous pages, it does nothing of the sort. Not only does the application not block these pages, it actually fills your browsers with even more useless and potentially unsafe content. It presents you with various pop-ups, banners, interstitial, full-page and other types of advertisements. What is worse, however, is that these adverts may actually expose you to malware. If you click on a corrupted link you could infect your PC with a malicious program. In order to avoid these unnecessary risks, you should eliminate Ads by CloudGuard from your browsers.
As it is clear that you did not download CloudGuard yourself, the program must have entered your system via bundled downloads. Free software tends to travel with potentially unwanted applications that are installed automatically if you choose Quick or Recommended installation option. However, they can be avoided if you select Advanced installation and decline all additional offers. We suggest you do that next time you install freeware or shareware.
How to remove Ads by CloudGuard?
Fortunately, it is not that difficult to uninstall CloudGuard. In order to remove Ads by CloudGuard from your browsers you will have to delete the program from your system and remove it from your browser extensions list. That is, if you want to terminate Ads by CloudGuard manually. If, on the other hand, you wish to get rid of the adware automatically, you can use the malware removal tool. It will scan your PC, detect the threats and eliminate Ads by CloudGuard completely. Moreover, the security software will also protect your computer in the future by shielding it from various suspicious sites and programs.
