BRApp Removal Instructions
BRApp is an ad-supported application that is signed by BR Software LLC. It can cause various third party adverts to appear in your browsers. It may also redirect you to dounty.com, br.search.yahoo.com and other sites when you click on the search results presented by your search engine. BRApp is often linked to Bing Redirect Virus as it mainly targets bing.com.
You may have downloaded the application yourself or it could have arrived bundled with other freeware. The second variant is much more likely. If you want to return to normal browsing without unnecessary redirects and advertisements, you should terminate BRApp.
How does BRApp work?
The main purpose of BRApp is to generate revenue for its associated sites. To achieve this goal it fills your pages with advertising content. You see banners, pop-ups, in-text links and other third party adverts labeled “Powered by BRApp”, “Ads by BRApp” and similar. The products promoted by the program may vary: you could see commercials for software, links to lotteries, pop-ups that promote online gaming sites and so on. What is important to know is that not all of them are legitimate. The adverts could be fake and trusting them could lead to unwanted consequences.
Although it is possible to download BRApp on its own, most of the time the application enters computers together with other free software. It is presented as an additional offer that you can either accept or decline. If you do not choose Advanced installation mode and deselect the program, it gets installed automatically. To avoid similar situations in the future you need to be extra attentive when installing freeware. Make sure you always choose Advanced or Custom mode instead of Recommended or Express one. This will allow you to decline all optional offers that you have no use for. As for now, you should delete BRApp and go back to ad-free online surfing.
How to remove BRApp from my PC?
It is not at all difficult to uninstall BRApp. You can delete it via Control Panel or you can use a malware removal tool. Automatic removal is always a better choice, because the anti-malware utility can make sure that all components of the infection are properly removed.
