What is FunData?
FunData is an adware application that is responsible for the commercial content that you see in your browsers. You may acquire this program together with other freeware and shareware. Since the program is not malicious, you may think that it is okay to keep it on your computer. That is not entirely correct. Although the adware can not harm your PC on its own, it can expose you to malicious content. Not to mention that it also makes it impossible to browse the Web without running into advertisements. If you want you to get rid of the annoying ads, you should terminate FunData without hesitation.
How does FunData work?
Often computer users are not sure how they get stuck with potentially unwanted programs like FunData. There is a simple explanation to that. If you install freeware without paying attention to the installation steps, you unwittingly agree to other programs being installed as well. These programs are often completely useless for the computer user. Their only purpose is to promote their associated sites, no matter what they are. That is why it is important to stay away from these applications and not allow them to enter your PC. You can do that by choosing Advanced or Custom installation option and deselecting the offers of PUPs.
Once FunData gets installed onto your system, it adds extensions to all of your browsers. Since it is compatible with all popular browsers, you will notice the changes no matter which one you use. Various ads, banners, pop-ups, commercial videos and so on will start appearing on your screen no matter which page you visit. The adverts should not be trusted, because they may belong to cyber criminals. There is no way to be sure that what you see is not some kind of a virtual scam. If you get tricked by these advertisements, you could lose money, infect your system with malware or disclose your personal details to an unreliable source.
