What is iWebar?
iWebar is an ad-supported software created by Goobzo. The company is infamous for such adware programs as ShopperPro, JollyWallet, Youtube Accelerator, YTDownloader, Sense Adware and more. iWebar can come bundled with these applications. The adware is compatible with popular browsers like IE, Google Chrome and Mozilla. iWebar has its official webpage iwebar.com, however, the download link on it does not seem to work.
That means that the program is usually distributed via bundled downloads and gets installed silently. We assure you the application will not be beneficial to you in any way and keeping it on your computer would not be a good idea. You should delete iWebar from your PC.
How does iWebar work?
One thing you should keep in mind is that any adware or potentially unwanted program will claim that it is something useful. In this case, iWebar is presented as a search tool that will help you find what you are searching for on a webpage. This, however, is completely unnecessary since you can do that by tapping Ctrl+F and typing in your search query. Even if it was useful, the program does not do that anyway. Instead it presents you with various ads, pop-ups and links. Moreover, some of these links may not be safe. Cyber criminals tend to make use of adware programs and present you with fake ads with their help. If you click on the corrupted link you will be redirected to a page where you could get infected by a malicious program or be tricked into disclosing your personal details by entering a fake lottery or completing a survey. That is why we do not recommend clicking on the ads brought to you by the application. Instead of exposing your system to potential security risks you should terminate iWebar and go back to normal browsing.
How to remove iWebar from my PC?
Although adware programs are certainly annoying, the good thing about them is that they are not that difficult to uninstall. You can eliminate iWebar from your computer via Control Panel. Keep in mind that it would be best to delete other Goobzo applications as well. You will find the instructions on how to get rid of iWebar and other unwanted programs below the article.
