What does do?

Many users are surprised when they see an unfamiliar home page and search engine. If you are not sure how Delta Homes managed to enter your system and alter your browsers’ settings, you need to think about your latest freeware installation. Hijackers usually sneak into a new system bundled with free of charge software which you acquire from the suspicious pages. If you use unofficial websites for freeware downloads, you are likely to find a bunch of additional software in your PC. Learn to be more careful with free software. Choose Advanced or Custom installation option and follow every step of the procedure.

If the hijacker already entered your system, you need to take care of removal as soon as possible. If you delay, the consequences can be quite unpleasant. Since the hijacker takes over your search tool, it is safe to assume that you will be presented with altered search results. The hijacker earns money by promoting the third parties’ websites and thus it ads additional links to your search results so that you would choose them. It means that not only you will waste your time clicking the irrelevant links, but you will also be routed to the pages that belong to the unknown third parties. It is possible that you will encounter cyber criminals and get infected with malware. Needless to say, your computer might be seriously damaged. Do not wait for this and get rid of now.

You will also see a lot of personalized ads, since the hijacker follows your Internet activities. This allows the intruder to ensure that the ads are interesting to you. However, just like the additional links, the advertisements can be dangerous and we advise to terminate to remove the temptation to click them.
