Unico Browser Removal Instructions
Unico Browser is a potentially unwanted program that was developed by Clara Labs Software. It is a clone of Bobrowser and CrossBrowser. The application deletes desktop and quick launch shortcuts of Google Chrome and installs itself as default web browser. It looks similarly to Google Chrome, so computer users may not realize that they are using Unico Browser at first.
You should keep in mind, however, that it has nothing to do with the popular browser. We do not recommend keeping the unwanted application on your PC. You should delete Unico Browser as soon as possible.
How does Unico Browser work?
Unico Browser has an official page where it is described as a protection oriented tool that was designed with security at its core. It is supposed to block annoying ads that you may encounter online and help you optimize your surfing and download speed. This may seem like something you would want to take advantage of, however, Unico Browser is not quite as reliable as you may think. You can download the program from the official site, but it also comes bundled with freeware and shareware. After the installation, the application adds shortcuts of Facebook, Amazon, YouTube, Wikipedia and Google on your desktop. As you already know, it also replaces your Google Chrome shortcuts.
If you acquired the program together with other free software, you are likely to see various third party advertisements in the browser. That is because Unico Browser has been known to come bundled with adware. The ad-supported application will insert various pop-ups, links, in-text ads, banners and other commercial data into the browser. Please note that this data may not be safe. If you see excessive amount of adverts appear on your screen, we recommend that you terminate Unico Browser.
How to remove Unico Browser?
The main problem with Unico Browser is that it travels bundled with freeware and if this is the way you acquired it, you had to deal with various disruption caused by the additional programs. One sure way to get rid of Unico Browser and all other possible threats is to clean your PC with a malware remover. If you implement an anti-malware utility, it will scan your system, detect and delete Unico Browser and other unwanted applications.
